A covered, step-free walk of ten to fifteen minutes from Birmingham International
The complex sits on the NEC campus beside Pendigo Lake, next to a mainline station, an airport and the M42. This page collects the routes, the sat nav postcode the venue prefers and the parking charges it publishes.
A covered, step-free walk from Birmingham International
Birmingham International station sits on the same campus. The venue directs arriving passengers along the walkway through the NEC, or down by stairs or lift to Perimeter Way and then by signs to Resorts World.[1] The hotel puts the walk at roughly ten to fifteen minutes, describes it as covered and signposted, and states that the whole route is step-free and suitable for wheelchairs, buggies and suitcases.[2]
By road
The complex is close to the M42 at junction 6, with the A452 and the A45 nearby.[1] The postal address is Pendigo Way, Birmingham B40 1PU, but the venue asks drivers to enter B40 1NT in a sat nav instead.[1] Roadworks around the Bickenhill interchange and the M40 and M42 junction were flagged on the venue’s travel page when we checked, so look at that page for current diversions rather than relying on a guide.[1]
On foot and by bike from the A45
There is a pedestrian and cycle route from the A45 directly onto the NEC campus, linked by a bridge across the road that connects to the wider Solihull cycle network.[1]
Where you actually are
The address reads Birmingham, and the airport and the station both carry the city’s name, but the casino premises licence is held with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.[4] Birmingham city centre is a separate journey, so treat this as a campus location rather than a city-centre one when planning an evening.
A multi-storey on site, with charges reduced by spending on the site
Resorts World runs its own multi-storey car park across three levels, with family bays on every level and accessible bays in all of its car parks. When the multi-storey fills, guests are directed to the South 2, South 6 and East 5 car parks. These are not the arena car parks next door, and a ticket from one will not settle the other.[1]
| Stay | Published charge |
|---|---|
| Up to two hours | £3.50 |
| Two to twelve hours | £18 |
| Two to twelve hours, ticket validated with £20 spent on site | £3.50 |
| Cineworld and Hollywood Bowl guests | £2 |
Tickets are validated at Guest Services or, when that is closed, at any of the site’s bars and restaurants, at Cineworld or at Hollywood Bowl.[1] Tariffs change, so confirm them on the venue’s travel page before you rely on these figures.
Very few casinos in Great Britain can be reached by intercity train and then a covered, step-free walk. If you would rather not drive at all, this is one of the easiest to get to, and the parking validation scheme means an evening on site costs little more than two hours would.
